Our client, a B2B apparel start-up company focused on blanks and custom merchandise, is seeking an experienced VP of Sales to join their team!

Position: Vice President of Sales (B2B Apparel)

Location: Remote / EST or hybrid in Dallas, TX

Type: Full-Time, Executive Role

Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned sales executive to establish and lead our B2B sales function, driving growth across new and emerging business lines. This is a rare chance to join a mature, high-performing organization and extend its reach through strategic partnerships with businesses, colleges, and institutions in need of premium custom apparel solutions—ranging from branded merchandise to bulk company orders. You will develop and manage our outbound sales engine, starting with your own book of business and building a high-impact team over time.

Ideal Candidate:

You possess deep industry expertise in apparel—particularly blanks and custom merchandise—along with a robust personal network and a builder’s mentality. You thrive in entrepreneurial environments and excel at crafting and executing sales strategies from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end B2B sales function, focusing on bulk orders, custom transfers, and future revenue streams.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, including account managers, sales development reps, and partnership leads.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy, customer segmentation model, and targeted outreach for diverse customer segments (e.g., small businesses, schools, event organizers).
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to shape packaging, pricing, messaging, and go-to-market plans for new offerings.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for major accounts, cultivating deep, long-term customer relationships and thought leadership.
  • Demonstrate sales excellence by personally handling key deals and supporting the team with hands-on involvement.
  • Provide market insights and customer feedback to leadership, influencing product roadmaps, service enhancements, and operational improvements.
  • Establish and track critical performance metrics (e.g., pipeline health, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, retention rates, NPS) to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years in sales, with at least 3 years leading or building a sales team.
  • Extensive experience in apparel, promotional products, or custom merchandise, with established relationships among corporate buyers, distributors, and B2B clients.
  • Proven success selling to organizations in corporate gifting, promotional products, branded merchandise, or large-scale event apparel, with an understanding of their sourcing and distribution processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a sales operation from scratch—setting vision, implementing systems, and driving results without a predefined playbook.
  • Operator’s mindset with a founder’s drive—relentlessly iterating, optimizing, and owning business outcomes.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, resourceful, and customer-focused environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at working remotely and collaborating across functions with a lean, dedicated team.

Why Join Us:

You’ll have the opportunity to shape a growing and dynamic sales organization, directly impact company growth, and work alongside a passionate team committed to delivering premium custom apparel solutions. Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and comprehensive benefits are offered.
