Hyperscale Infrastructure seeks a Vice President of Operations to own the operational portfolio, overseeing a growing set of AI compute and hyperscale data centers. You will lead a high-performing team, set standards, and drive reliability, safety and performance across facilities.

The Role

As Vice President of Operations, you will:

• Lead operational strategy, performance and reliability across a growing portfolio of AI Compute and hyperscale data center facilities.
• Build and scale a high-performing operations organisation, defining leadership structures, technical capabilities and operational standards.
• Take executive ownership of facility reliability, operational excellence, safety and performance across the portfolio.
• Direct critical infrastructure operations, overseeing mechanical, electrical, cooling and building management systems.
• Own operational budgets, resource allocation and commercial performance, driving efficiency and long-term asset value.
• Lead third-party facilities management providers, engineering contractors and strategic service partners.
• Partner with executive leadership across engineering, construction and commissioning to drive operational readiness and portfolio expansion.
• Shape long-term operational strategy, organisational growth and infrastructure investment priorities.

The Person

Ideal candidates will bring:

• 10- 20+ years' experience in data center operations, critical facilities management, engineering operations or comparable mission-critical infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience operating at Director, Vice President or equivalent senior leadership level, with responsibility for complex technical facilities and operational teams.
• A strong track record of building, developing and leading high-performing operations teams across critical infrastructure environments.
• Deep technical understanding of mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including HVAC, cooling systems, electrical distribution, BMS and critical equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrable experience establishing operational standards, preventative maintenance programmes, reliability frameworks and performance management processes.
• Proven ability to direct external facilities management providers, engineering contractors and multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience owning operational budgets, managing service contracts and driving cost efficiencies.
• Experience overseeing commissioning, operational mobilisation, facility handover and the transition into live operations.
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge technical decisions and align operational priorities with wider business objectives.
• A decisive, commercially focused leadership style, combining strategic thinking with practical technical expertise and clear accountability for results.
