Job summary

SportRx is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Operations to lead and reinvent our end-to-end operations from order entry through production, delivery, returns, and resolution. Responsibilities

• Own the end to end operational experience from order entry through production, quality, fulfillment, delivery, returns, and resolution.
• Evaluate how our people, processes, systems, technology, and physical workflow should be organized to deliver the best possible customer experience with greater speed, quality, and efficiency.
• Lead, develop, and inspire our Operations team, building a culture of accountability, urgency, collaboration, continuous improvement, and pride in the work.
• Invest in our people through coaching, training, communication, clear expectations, and strong leadership, helping them continue to grow and reach their potential.
• Develop a best in class internal finishing lab, including equipment, staffing, training, layout, quality control, workflow, capacity, and continuous improvement.
• Build scalable systems, processes, SOPs, KPIs, cross training, reporting, and accountability throughout the operation.
• Partner closely with the CEO, CFO, and leadership team on operating expenses, margin improvement, capital investments, capacity planning, and long term operational strategy.
• Ensure we are getting the full value from our technology, systems, data, and reporting, and help determine where systems, analytics, and other operational capabilities should live within the organization.
• Build an operations organization capable of supporting future growth, new businesses, and additional vertical integration.

Schedule: Full Time

Compensation: $175,000 to $210,000 annually plus performance based bonus

The Opportunity

SportRx is looking for a seasoned operations leader to help us build the next generation of our operations organization. We are looking for someone with the experience and leadership to create operational excellence, someone who has seen firsthand what a great operations function can do for a business and knows how to build one.

This is not a role where the CEO hands you a playbook to execute. We want a trusted senior leader who will learn our business, challenge our assumptions, identify opportunities, and partner with our leadership team to rebuild and continuously improve the function.

The right person combines deep optical lab experience with exceptional people leadership, operational discipline, and a modern mindset grounded in technology and data. You will be close enough to the work to understand what is happening on the floor and experienced enough to step back and redesign how the entire operation should work.

What You'll Own

What We're Looking For

• Significant leadership experience in optical lab operations, with a deep understanding of Rx production, finishing, quality, workflow, and the realities of running a high performing lab environment.
• Proven senior people leader who builds strong teams and cultures through coaching, development, accountability, and example.
• Demonstrated success improving complex operations through process, technology, data, and continuous improvement.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including experience with budgets, labor efficiency, capital investment, capacity, and cost management.
• Technology forward and highly comfortable with operational software, systems, reporting, and data analysis.
• Hands on enough to understand what is happening on the floor while experienced enough to step back and redesign how the entire operation should work.
• Collaborative, low ego leader who is comfortable challenging the status quo, making decisions, and partnering directly with the CEO and senior leadership team.
• Experience with NetSuite and Zendesk, or similar platforms, is a plus, but specific software experience is less important than the ability to learn, own, and maximize technology.

Reporting and Organization

The Vice President of Operations reports directly to the CEO and will have broad ownership of the operational experience. This leader will have the authority and opportunity to evaluate how the function is structured and help design the people, processes, systems, and organization needed for the future.
