Company Confidential seeks a Vice President of Logistics to lead domestic and international freight, warehousing, and 3PL networks. You will own a $25M annual spend, deliver cost reductions, and align logistics with profitability and customer service goals.

This hybrid role requires building scalable processes, driving accountability, and developing a high-performing logistics organization across global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or equivalent preferred.
• 15+ years of senior logistics/operations experience with executive accountability.
• Strong negotiation, analytics, and cross-functional leadership abilities.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute a multi-year warehousing and freight strategy aligned with growth and margin.
• Optimize warehouse footprint and network design to reduce landed costs and improve service levels.
• Lead carrier negotiations, RFPs, and contract optimization to drive savings and service.
• Own full transportation and warehouse P&L (approx. $25M) and drive cost-down initiatives.
• Oversee 3PL relationships, system integrations with ERP/WMS, and performance reviews.
• Establish SOPs and KPI dashboards across facilities and partners.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations in collaboration with trade leadership.

The Vice President of Logistics is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the

domestic and international freight, warehouse operations, and 3PL network. This position owns cost, service, and performance outcomes across an annual spend of approximately $25M and is accountable for delivering measurable cost reductions, service improvements, and operational rigor across the distribution network.

The Vice President will build scalable processes, drive accountability, and align logistics execution with company profitability and customer service objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership & Network Optimization
• Develop and execute a multi-year warehousing and freight strategy aligned with company growth and margin objectives.
• Optimize warehouse footprint and network design to reduce total landed cost and improve service levels
• Establish long-term carrier and 3PL partnership strategies.
• Cost Management & Profitability
• Own full transportation and warehousing P&L performance (approx. $25M annual spend)
• Deliver aggressive, sustainable cost-down initiatives across domestic and international freight
• Lead carrier negotiations, RFP processes, and contract optimization.
• Implement freight recovery and claims management processes.
• Improve freight allocation and pricing alignment with commercial strategy.
• Warehouse & 3PL Operational Excellence
• Lead onsite warehouse audits and performance improvement initiatives
• Drive measurable improvements in:
• OTIF (On-Time, In-Full)
• Inventory accuracy
• Throughput and labor productivity
• Safety and compliance
• Oversee 3PL conversion to P21 and ensure seamless systems integration
• Establish standardized SOPs across all facilities and 3PL partners.
• Develop KPI dashboards and performance review cadence.
• Manage domestic and international freight optimization initiatives
• Oversee ocean, air, intermodal, LTL, FTL, and specialty freight modes.
• Improve routing guides and modal strategy.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations in partnership with trade compliance leadership (if structured separately).

• Build and lead a high-performing logistics organization.
• Develop succession planning and bench strength.
• Create clarity of accountability across freight, warehousing, and 3PL domains.
• Foster a culture of operational discipline and continuous improvement.

$180,000 - $190,000 + 25% Bonus

This position is hybrid as the person selected for this role will be required to be on-site 5 days per month at one of our company facilities. Travel, lodging, and expenses to be paid for at company expense.
