Title: Vice President of Finance and Administration

Type: Fulltime Permanent

Location: San Francisco Bay Area - Preferably on-site or Hybrid (not remote)

Milestone is a fast-growing premier provider of Digital Marketing Software and Services. Milestone Digital Presence Cloud helps businesses manage their online presence. The VP of Finance will lead Milestone’s finance and administration global team and will be a key member of Milestone’s executive team. Milestone is looking for a strong leader who can manage and nurture finance organization, manage accounting and administration functions, hire and nurture right talent, deploy best practices in finance and promote great organizational culture. Key responsibilities for the job include:

Responsibilities

• Manage the Finance function globally for the company.
• Manage the accounting team to deliver full financial responsibility for the company, including:
• Order to Cash Cycle (Order entry, Billing, Accounts Receivable)
• Expenses (Accounts Payables, forecasting expenses, managing payments, contracts, etc.)
• Manage revenue recognition
• General Ledger Accounting - full P&L and compliance
• Financial Planning and Analysis – Forecast including conversion of bookings forecast to revenue forecast, expense budgeting, KPIs, produce all the reports necessary for running a SAAS model company.
• Work with the CEO to interface with external investors, banks, and financial institutions. Produce reports and presentations necessary for investor meetings.
• Leadership – manage and nurture the Finance and Administration team and offer leadership, career development. Our finance team is distributed between Silicon Valley and India.
• Business partner – be the business partner for various groups such as Sales, CSM, Products, etc. in determining compensation plans, commission structures, P&L by products, etc.
• Manage financial systems such as NetSuite and leading automation of various reports
• Work with other teams for data import/export from NetSuite
• Manage Payroll, building leases globally
• Contract review – review, make and/or approve contract modifications
• Legal – provide an interface between the company and our lawyers for various legal matters

Key Skills

• Leadership experience managing ~10 people team across multiple geographies
• At least 10-15 years of experience in similar role in a smaller company (must-have).
• Should have demonstrated stability in previous roles
• Must have led Accounting, and Finance functions
• SAAS /Software company experience.Experience in revenue recognition for professional services and recurring revenue streams
• Should demonstrate an ability to implement new processes
• Make changes to current ways of doing things. Lead and inspire organizations and peers to follow suit on key initiatives
• Multi-tasking and the ability to handle complex multiple tasks
• Hands-on working ability
• Significant expertise in FP&A
• Excellent communication skills
