Job Summary:

The Vice President (VP) of Finance is a key executive leader responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and operations of a multi-site healthcare or corporate organization. The VP of Finance provides strategic financial leadership to support growth, optimize financial performance, and ensure sound fiscal management. This role collaborates closely with the executive team and board of directors to drive financial goals aligned with the organization’s mission and long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies, policies, and plans that align with organizational goals and drive sustainable growth.
  • Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounting, tax, treasury, and risk management.
  • Oversee capital planning and investment management, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, and financing initiatives.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and decision support to the CEO, board of directors, and other executives to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards, and internal controls, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance leadership team to support organizational objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and technology to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Monitor financial KPIs, market trends, and economic factors to proactively manage risks and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including operations, clinical services, legal, and human resources to align financial strategies with operational needs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance, ideally within healthcare or multisite organizations.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex financial operations and leading strategic initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, and private equity partnerships.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, regulatory requirements, financial modeling, and capital markets.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in financial management software, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with private equity-backed companies and managing investor relations.
  • Background in healthcare finance, including reimbursement, revenue cycle, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record in driving operational efficiency and financial turnaround initiative.


Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily office-based work with extended periods of computer use.
  • Ability to travel periodically to company sites, investor meetings, and conferences as needed.
