Job summary

Storm4 is seeking an experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead engineering strategy across a portfolio of data center campuses. This remote role requires travel and oversight of mechanical, electrical, cooling and critical power systems throughout concept to turnover.

You will mentor multidisciplinary teams, establish scalable standards, drive cost efficiency, reliability and sustainability, and partner with Construction, Development, Operations, Procurement and Commercial teams to shape

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
• 10+ years of engineering or technical delivery experience in the data center industry
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and major capital programs
• Experience with hyperscale, cloud or AI infrastructure preferred
• Strong knowledge of data center mechanical, electrical, cooling, controls and critical power systems
• Ability to travel as required

Storm4 is partnered with a privately held data center developer and operator delivering large-scale infrastructure for hyperscale, cloud and AI customers. The business is expanding its portfolio and strengthening its senior engineering leadership team.

They’re seeking an experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead engineering strategy, technical governance and product development across a portfolio of data center campuses.

This executive will oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams and establish scalable standards across mechanical, electrical, controls, cooling and critical power systems. The role will provide leadership throughout the development lifecycle, from site evaluation and concept design through construction, commissioning and operational turnover.

• Lead engineering strategy and technical governance across the portfolio.
• Manage and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Own data center design standards, technical roadmaps and stage-gate reviews.
• Develop standardized infrastructure solutions for hyperscale and high-density AI environments.

• Experience developing technical standards and repeatable infrastructure solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Professional Engineer registration preferred.
• Experience supporting hyperscale, cloud or AI infrastructure preferred.
• Ability to travel as required.
