Job summary

Scott Group Studio in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a visionary VP of Production to lead Dyehouse, Yarn, Samples, Stamping, Tufting, Finishing, and Maintenance. You will drive safety, quality, delivery reliability, and capacity across multi-shift operations, while preserving craftsmanship and customization that define our luxury carpets.

You will own the integrated production schedule, coordinate sample and production workloads, and manage bottlenecks with practical recovery plans.

Qualifications

Significant progressive manufacturing leadership experience across multiple production departments.
Experience in high-mix, low-volume, custom or made-to-order operations at scale.
Proven ability to translate backlog and order complexity into capacity and staffing plans.
Experience leading a multilingual workforce and working with Vietnamese-speaking employees is preferred.
LEAN Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

Own the integrated production schedule from sample to finished product.
Coordinate workloads, establish release criteria, maintain routings and work instructions.
Coach supervisors with empathy, fairness, and accountability across shifts.
Foster bilingual communication and use interpreters when needed.
Lead continuous improvement and quality problem-solving with EOS/Level 10 reviews as appropriate.
