Evans General Contractors, LLC seeks a Vice President of Advanced Technology (Mission Critical) to lead the strategic and financial performance of the division focused on mission‑critical facilities such as data centers and AI infrastructure.

The role oversees planning, design coordination, preconstruction, construction execution and project closeout with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience with construction projects in one or more Advanced Technology / Mission Critical environments.
  • Deep understanding of construction mechanics, scheduling, and estimating.
  • Knowledge of multiple project delivery methods.
  • Proven track record of following through on commitments.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, preferred.
  • Proven track record of partnering and issues resolution, preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Construction Project Management.
  • Experience delivering projects on budget and on time with safety and quality.
  • Experience managing an integrated team on large, complex, multi‑phase projects.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence decisions.
  • Proven ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the project team in charge of the design, procurement, construction, qualification, hand‑over and close‑out of construction projects, ensuring profitable and successful delivery.
  • Oversee projects for quality, risk, safety, Owner relations, and compliance to ensure the Division’s success.
  • Actively monitor the financial performance of projects under the Advanced Technology Division’s to ensure established goals are met.
  • Participate in Owner, Subcontractor and Vendor Contract Negotiations with the Preconstruction and Legal Departments.
  • Support the Preconstruction Department to pre‑qualify subcontractors/vendors, ensure adequate subcontractor coverage, conduct a detailed review of drawings, and participate in Owner/Preconstruction meetings.
  • Oversee and/or develop the construction schedule, depending on the project’s complexity.
  • Oversee performance of the preconstruction and construction phase to ensure profitability and timely execution of work.
  • Recruit, allocate, train, coach and manage project teams to ensure the delivery of successful and profitable projects to Clients, and to assist them in achieving professional and career growth objectives.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure that the client’s interests and vision are executed on the project.
  • Analyze past and current performance on projects to mitigate risk on projects by the implementation of new processes, procedures and/or controls.
  • Provide Senior Management with updates regarding the status of projects, initiatives, and staffing, and where appropriate, highlight issues of concern, and/or conflict.
  • Secure follow‑up work with existing clients based on Evans’ performance on previous projects.
  • Actively assist in the pursuit of new project opportunities.
  • Provides consistent and clear communication with internal and external customers.
  • Participate in company‑wide strategy and planning with Senior Management.
  • Identify and participate in industry organizations and events.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

The Vice President of Advanced Technology (Mission Critical) is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of Evans’ Advanced Technology Division, with a specific focus on mission‑critical facilities. This role provides executive oversight of planning, design coordination, preconstruction, construction execution, and closeout of highly technical projects such as data centers, AI critical infrastructure, telecom, tech workspace, semi‑conductor and other advanced technology environments. The Vice President serves as a visible leader both internally and externally, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and reliability, while supporting the long‑term growth and positioning of Evans’ Advanced Technology platform.

Duties and Responsibilities
