Position Summary

UG2 is seeking a dynamic, hands-on, and strategic Vice President of Shared Services to lead and optimize the company’s centralized support functions serving operations across the Central, Midwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast regions.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for the performance, development, and continuous improvement of UG2’s shared services organization. The VP of Shared Services will ensure that centralized functions operate as true business partners to the field—delivering consistent, efficient, scalable, and high-quality service to both internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate is an experienced shared services leader who has direct, hands-on experience managing multiple centralized functions in a complex, multi-site, geographically dispersed organization. This individual will bring a strong track record of building high-performing teams, standardizing processes, improving service delivery, leveraging technology and automation, and creating accountability through meaningful KPIs and performance metrics.

Experience in facility management, janitorial, security, staffing, hospitality, logistics, or other labor-intensive, multi-site service industries is strongly preferred.

Shared Services Organization

The Vice President Of Shared Services Will Have Leadership Responsibility For The Centralized Accounting And Finance-related Shared Services Functions Supporting UG2’s National Operations. The Scope Will Include

• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Billing & Revenue Operations
• Payroll Operations
• Timekeeping & Workforce Administration
• Cash Management & Treasury Operations
• General Accounting / Transactional Accounting
• Financial Data & Reporting Support
• Vendor & Customer Master Data
• Expense & Corporate Card Administration
• Finance Operations Support

Shared Services Transformation

Responsibilities

The VP will also be responsible for continuously evaluating the scope and structure of these functions and determining which activities should be:

• Centralized within Shared Services
• Standardized across regions
• Automated through technology
• Outsourced where appropriate
• Retained within regional or field operations based on business requirements

The goal is to create a scalable, high-performing shared services organization that provides consistent, accurate, timely, and cost-effective support to UG2’s field operations and corporate functions.

Leadership Expectations

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience personally managing and improving several of these functions, not simply overseeing them from a strategic or financial perspective. This leader should understand the day-to-day workflows, staffing requirements, systems, controls, service-level expectations, and operational challenges associated with high-volume transactional environments.

The VP will be expected to assess the current organization, identify opportunities for improvement, establish appropriate organizational structures and leadership roles, and build a shared services model that can scale with UG2’s continued growth.
