Job description

Fully remote | Build new sources of growth and lead an expanding marketing team.

Top Provider helps businesses find vendors that fit their specific needs. We match buyers with providers based on their company’s size, industry, and what they need, across 30+ categories.

We’re a small, fast-growing company hiring a Vice President of Marketing to expand how we reach business buyers, strengthen our messaging and conversion, and build the team behind our next stage of growth.

You’ll work directly with company leadership to decide where we invest and turn those decisions into results. That could mean launching an acquisition channel, improving a category’s buyer experience, or helping a channel owner solve a difficult performance problem. You’ll have room to pursue ideas, visibility into the economics behind your decisions, and responsibility for what those investments produce.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys both setting direction and getting work into market. You should be excited to recruit and develop a strong team, grow alongside it, and contribute directly when the business needs more than delegation.

What you’ll do
Set the growth strategy and own the results.

Translate company goals into priorities and plans by category and channel. Work with the team to develop marketing forecasts grounded in historical performance, planned initiatives, and budgets. Review results against those forecasts, understand what changed, and adjust. Own marketing’s contribution to qualified buyer demand, revenue, and profitability.

Develop new ways to acquire buyers.

Find opportunities beyond our existing acquisition programs. Test approaches that fit our buyers and business economics, get early versions into market, and decide what deserves further investment. Build the team and processes around programs that prove out.

Own messaging and improve conversion.
Set the direction for how Top Provider communicates its value.

Make our messaging relevant to each category and consistent across ads, landing pages, and the broader buyer journey. Work with creative, product, and operations to turn buyer insights into experiences that improve conversion and request quality.

Work closely with paid search and paid social owners on strategy, execution, and expansion. Help diagnose difficult performance issues, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities. Know the work well enough to give useful direction and contribute directly when needed.

Connect growth to marketplace economics.

Understand how acquisition cost, buyer characteristics, vendor demand, matching, and revenue per request affect profitability. Work across the business to identify where we can acquire more buyers profitably and where other constraints need attention first.

Build and develop the marketing team.

Determine which roles we need and lead hiring, from sourcing and interviews through onboarding. Give people clear priorities, KPIs, coaching, and direct feedback. Build a remote environment where people collaborate, raise problems early, and follow through. As the team grows, introduce the reporting and processes that help people do their best work.

Alongside our core buyer acquisition work, test targeted marketing programs that attract prospective vendors and generate qualified inbound opportunities for the sales team. Develop promising approaches into a repeatable source of demand.

What you bring
  • Strong performance marketing experience. You have managed meaningful acquisition budgets or led marketing at a business where paid search or paid social were primary growth channels. You can evaluate the work, support experienced specialists, and get involved in execution.
  • Experience creating new growth. You have taken opportunities from initial idea through launch, iteration, and meaningful results. You can explain your contribution, the constraints you faced, and how you decided where to invest.
  • Strength in messaging and conversion. You can articulate a clear value proposition, adapt it to different audiences, and carry it consistently across channels. You have improved acquisition performance through better messaging and buyer experiences.
  • Commercial and analytical judgment. You have been accountable for revenue and acquisition efficiency, built performance forecasts, and used data to guide investment. Marketplace, comparison platform, or performance lead generation experience is especially valuable.
  • A record of hiring and developing strong marketers. You know how to improve team performance through thoughtful hiring, clear direction, coaching, and accountability. You can lead effectively in a remote environment.
  • Comfort with the demands of a growing company. You can move between strategic decisions and hands-on work, make progress with incomplete information, and adjust as you learn. You use AI tools thoughtfully to improve the team’s research, analysis, creative development, and execution.

You’ll help shape how the company grows, with meaningful influence over our investments, buyer experience, and marketing team.

You’ll work closely with leadership, have access to the business context you need to make good decisions, and see the impact of your work. As Top Provider expands, you’ll have the opportunity to build a larger team, develop new leaders, and grow your own role alongside the business.
