SpyGlass Pharma is seeking an experienced Vice President, Market Access to lead pricing, contracting, reimbursement, and payer engagement across the ophthalmology portfolio. You will shape launch strategies, develop patient services, and manage distribution and channel partners.

Join a leadership team driving access strategy, with responsibilities spanning pre-launch to post-launch commercialization and collaboration with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, and Finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MPH, or equivalent) preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive market access, reimbursement, pricing, or commercial leadership experience within pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device industries.
• Significant ophthalmology market access experience including launches.
• Experience with buy-and-bill and consignment-based medical devices.
• Deep understanding of pricing, contracting, reimbursement, distribution, patient services, and payer strategy.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B and commercial payer systems; coding, coverage, and payment pathways.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market access strategies across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases.
• Lead pricing, contracting, reimbursement, distribution, patient support services, and payer engagement.
• Design market access strategies for buy-and-bill and device-based business models.
• Build and maintain relationships with payers, Medicare stakeholders, IDNs, and healthcare decision-makers.
• Develop coverage, coding, payment, and reimbursement strategies to optimize patient access.
• Lead distribution, specialty pharmacy, and channel strategy development.
• Oversee patient support programs, including HUB services, benefits verification, and affordability initiatives.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, and Finance teams for launch planning.
• Provide input on forecasting, pricing assumptions, and long-range planning.
• Monitor reimbursement policy shifts and market dynamics to identify opportunities and risks.
• Build a high-performing Market Access organization to support growth.
• Represent SpyGlass Pharma with payers, trade associations, and strategic partners.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Market Access to join our leadership team at SpyGlass Pharma. The Vice President, Market Access will lead the development and execution of market access strategy for the company’s ophthalmology portfolio, with responsibility for pricing, contracting, reimbursement, distribution, payer engagement, patient services, and field reimbursement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategies supporting pre-launch, launch, and post-launch commercialization activities.
• Lead all aspects of pricing, contracting, reimbursement, distribution, patient support services, and payer engagement.
• Design market access strategies supporting both buy-and-bill pharmaceutical products and consignment-based ophthalmic device business models.
• Establish and maintain relationships with commercial payers, Medicare stakeholders, integrated delivery networks, and key healthcare decision-makers.
• Develop coverage, coding, payment, and reimbursement strategies that optimize patient access and provider adoption.
• Lead specialty distribution, specialty pharmacy, and channel strategy development.
• Build and oversee patient support programs, including HUB services, benefits verification, reimbursement support, and patient affordability initiatives.
• Partner closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, and Finance teams to support launch planning and commercialization readiness activities.
• Provide strategic input into forecasting, pricing assumptions, market dynamics, and long-range commercial planning.
• Monitor changes in reimbursement policy, healthcare economics, and competitive market access trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing Market Access organization capable of supporting commercial launch and future growth.
• Represent SpyGlass Pharma with external stakeholders, including payers, trade associations, consultants, and strategic partners.

Qualifications Required For Position

• Experience building market access infrastructure and leading high-performing teams.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and influence cross-functional decision-making.
