Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a senior executive to oversee outsourced manufacturing, supply chain, and device engineering across a diverse portfolio including small molecules, biologics, and peptides.

You will lead four functional pillars, govern the global CMO network, and drive end-to-end supply chain, process innovation, and lifecycle management in a highly regulated environment.

Senior executive responsible for overseeing Xeris’s outsourced manufacturing, supply chain, and device engineering functions across a diverse portfolio including small molecules, peptides, and biologics.

Objectives

ensure seamless product lifecycle management from clinical development to commercialization and post-approval, maintaining high quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• provide strategic leadership to four functional pillars—Commercial Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Manufacturing Science & Technology, Process Innovation & Lifecycle Management, and Device Development;
• govern global CMO network;
• manage end-to-end supply chain;
• oversee process innovation and complex technical initiatives;
• ensure regulatory submissions and inspections;
• drive financial planning and capacity management.

Requirements

• 22+ years in pharma/biotech manufacturing/engineering roles, with deep expertise in small molecules, biologics, peptides, and complex injectables;
• proven senior leadership managing outsourced manufacturing networks;
• comprehensive knowledge of cGMP, FDA/EMA regulations, and product lifecycle stages.

Preferred

• advanced degrees (M.S., Ph.D., MBA).

High-Value

• extensive experience with clinical to commercial lifecycle, regulatory interactions, combination products/devices, and global supply chain management.

Work setup

• based in Chicago HQ, with a minimum of four days/week onsite and periodic travel;
• work may involve evening/weekend hours.
