The Vice President, Manufacturing & Engineering at Xeris Pharmaceuticals Inc. leads four pillars—Commercial Manufacturing & Supply Chain Logistics, MS&T, Process Innovation & Life Cycle Management, and Device Development—within a strict contract manufacturing ecosystem.

Based in Chicago, this executive drives end-to-end product strategy from clinical development through commercial launch, oversees global CMOs, and ensures cGMP compliance, quality, and regulatory readiness across small molecules,

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required, strong preference for Chemical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 22+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech with executive leadership in manufacturing/engineering.
• Experience with small molecules, peptides, biologics across dosage forms.
• Deep knowledge of cGMPs and global regulatory submissions.
• Experience managing external/outsourced CMO networks globally.
• Strong executive presence and strategic communication with executives and partners.

• Provide strategic direction to four functional leaders (Commercial Manufacturing, MS&T, Process Innovation & LCM, Device Development).
• Drive cross-functional alignment and eliminate silos across the department.
• Direct product strategy across portfolio from clinical to commercialization and Life Cycle Management.
• Oversee global network of CMOs: vendor evaluation, negotiations, capex, alliances.
• Accountable for end-to-end supply chains from raw materials to finished goods.
• Guide development of combination products and device integration.
• Maintain regulatory accountability for submissions and health authority interactions.
• Drive budgeting, capacity planning and overall financial management.
