Warrior Met Coal seeks a Vice President – Legal to serve as the chief legal adviser and a member of the executive team in Brookwood, Alabama. You will lead all legal affairs, providing strategic counsel on governance, compliance, risk management, and major transactions.

You will collaborate with operations, HR, safety, environmental, engineering, and finance to protect shareholder value, oversee litigation and regulatory matters, and support growth in a complex mining environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 15+ years of progressive legal experience.
• Senior leadership experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
• Experience supporting a publicly traded company, including SEC, governance, and securities law matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal leadership to executive leadership on governance, risk, regulatory compliance, and business matters.
• Oversee mining, environmental, labor, employment, safety, and corporate regulatory compliance.
• Lead and manage contracts, negotiations, financing activities, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
• Supervise litigation management and control outside counsel and expenditures.
