The firm operates as a lean, high‑performance team with differentiated access across the hedge fund ecosystem. They are highly selective, partnering with a small number of exceptional managers, including both established firms and emerging platforms. They are currently seeking a mid‑level professional in NYC.

This opportunity is for an investment professional who will play a central role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing external investment managers. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of relevant experience within an institutional allocator, endowment, foundation, family office, or investment firm, and brings strong analytical rigor, sound qualitative judgment, and proven relationship‑building capabilities. This individual will work directly with the Founder and play a key role in portfolio construction, manager selection, due diligence, and ongoing investment oversight. The role offers meaningful exposure to leading hedge fund managers and active participation in asset allocation and investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous due diligence on prospective and existing managers, including investment process, performance drivers, portfolio construction, and risk management
• Monitor portfolio managers on an ongoing basis, including performance attribution, exposures, and risk contribution
• Support in sourcing, evaluating, and building and maintaining relationships with high‑quality hedge fund managers across strategies, including long/short equity, long‑only, multi‑strategy, systematic, credit, and macro
• Support portfolio construction and capital allocation decisions across the platform
• Identify emerging managers and differentiated investment opportunities
• Prepare investment memos, research materials, and internal and external documentation and materials
• Underwrite risk and correlation analysis across the portfolio
• Engage directly with managers through meetings, calls, and industry conferences
• Contribute to broader firm strategy, including portfolio positioning and thematic research
• Support investor communications, including portfolio updates and market insights

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in hedge funds, asset management, investment banking, or institutional investing
• Strong understanding of hedge fund strategies, structures, and portfolio construction
• Direct experience in manager research, due diligence, or investing
• Strong analytical and quantitative skill set
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
