Vice President, IT, SAP & Enterprise Applications

The Vice President, SAP & Enterprise Applications at Samsonite leads the strategy, design, and management of enterprise applications across multiple markets. Responsibilities include aligning technology with business goals, overseeing implementations of systems like SAP, Oracle Fusion HCM, Concur, Hyperion, BI, and managing global teams to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute the global strategy for SAP and enterprise applications aligned with Samsonite’s goals and vision, collaborating with executive leadership to translate business needs into technological solutions.
2. Manage the entire SAP ecosystem for Samsonite.
3. Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of applications such as SAP, HRIS, Concur, Hyperion, Salesforce, ensuring seamless integration and data flow across the organization.
4. Partner with the CIO to lead the SAP S/4 HANA transformation journey.
5. Work with business leaders and regional IT teams to leverage SAP S/4 HANA for process improvements, efficiency, and innovation.
6. Lead and mentor a team of SAP professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative culture.
7. Establish and maintain relationships with SAP vendors and industry partners, staying informed on trends and best practices.
8. Oversee the corporate reporting and global BI application landscape.
9. Support and optimize digital applications and ecosystems worldwide, establishing global standards and sharing technical expertise.
10. Manage other enterprise applications, including Oracle Fusion and financial systems, ensuring their ongoing success and value.
11. Ensure all enterprise applications comply with industry standards, regulations, and security best practices, proactively managing associated risks.
12. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory and security standards.
13. Maintain application stability for daily operations and ensure accountability in application management.
14. Drive continuous improvement in application performance and user experience.
15. Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise application projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
16. Define KPIs to measure project success and application effectiveness, engaging stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure user needs are met.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in SAP, focusing on modules like Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Finance & Controlling, with deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and ECC.
• 15+ years managing enterprise applications, with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
• Experience in retail systems, S/4 fashion rollout, and managing global teams and relationships.
• Experience with systems like SharePoint, Concur, Hyperion.
• Strong background in HR and Finance processes.
• Proficiency in data analysis, warehousing, and BI tools.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and project management tools.
• Understanding of industry regulations and security protocols.
• Experience in vendor management, negotiation, and contract oversight.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields; MBA preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Strategic thinker capable of leading change and supporting a business-aligned architecture vision.
• Ability to work internationally, with up to 30% travel.
