Job summary

JP Morgan is seeking an Information Reporting & Withholding Advisor- Vice President in Jersey City to guide our businesses on US information reporting and withholding tax matters. You will partner with various units to provide expert guidance on complex tax issues.

In this role, you will review guidance, monitor transactions, prepare training, and communicate regulatory changes to the business teams, helping ensure accurate year-end reporting and compliances.

Qualifications

• Have 7+ years US information reporting and withholding tax advisory experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of financial products and investment funds.
• Ability to explain complex regulations to non-tax professionals.

Responsibilities

• Review IRS information reporting and withholding guidance and determine impact for JPMorgan businesses.
• Monitor new products/transactions and ensure proper information reporting application.
• Review and comment on language in new business initiative documents for accuracy.
• Meet with business units regularly to ensure understanding of information reporting requirements.
• Research and respond to day-to-day internal questions on tax documentation and related topics.
• Prepare and present training when appropriate.
• Comment on proposed regulations, tax forms, and industry issues.
• Provide guidance on year-end tax reporting (Forms 1099, 1098, 1042-S).
