Job summary

The Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) has exclusively retained The QTI Group to lead the search for a Vice President, Workforce & Clinical Practice. This executive will serve as a statewide leader on the workforce pipeline and clinical practice issues affecting Wisconsin’s hospitals and health systems.

As part of WHA’s Government Relations team, the VP acts as the lead staff person for workforce development and clinical practice, advising WHA members and policymakers, and serving as the lead

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health care administration or related field.
• 10+ years’ leadership experience in a health care organization and/or an agency or organization involved in health care workforce and care delivery issues.
• Experience with public policy, accreditation and the regulatory environment is desirable, but not required.
• Strong writing and communication skills and data analysis skills are required.
• Proficiency in Office 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary staff to facilitate development of health care workforce agenda.
• Liaise with WHA designees and state agencies to develop strategies and policies for educational needs of the future.
• Initiate and direct workforce projects and programs to advance WHA and Wisconsin hospitals’ workforce needs.
• Provide direction to clinical and practice topics, issues and policies for WHA.
• Monitor and inform WHA staff on policy initiatives and clinical practice updates.
• Support WHA policy initiatives and educate on workforce and advocacy for WHA member groups and conferences.
• Coordinate staffing and support to WHA Councils and task forces.
