Job Overview

The Vice President of Private Equity Accounting will support BNY’s Private Equity Accounting Team based in Lake Mary, Florida. The position requires 4 days in office per week and focuses on complex fund accounting, client service, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and complex funds, including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses and preparing reports.
• Lead work of junior team members for assigned client or fund and provide guidance on complex accounting responsibilities.
• Drive service improvement plans, target efficiencies, enhance processes, and perform specialist review functions.
• Interact regularly with clients to answer questions and resolve multifaceted issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience.
• 7-10 years of total work experience preferred.
• Experience with Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
• Experience evaluating GAAP and/or IFRS rules and determining impacts on fund accounting practices.
• Ability to provide guidance and review work related to cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts or transactions.
• May have people‑management responsibilities in some geographies and may be tasked with Team Lead responsibilities.
