BNY in Lake Mary, FL is looking for a Vice President of Fund/Client Accounting. This role involves conducting accounting services, leading junior members, and providing insights on GAAP and IFRS regulations for complex funds.

Exchange Traded Funds – Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct accounting services for assigned clients and complex funds, including determining net asset values (NAVs), calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
• Lead and guide junior team members for assigned clients or funds; perform specialist review functions and provide input into methodologies, driving service improvement plans and process efficiencies.
• Provide guidance and review work related to cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts or transactions; resolve reconciliations for the most complex or atypical transactions and review junior team members’ work.
• Draft and structure client reports on the performance of highly complex funds; regularly interact with clients to answer questions and resolve multifaceted issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes.
• Evaluate GAAP and/or IFRS rules to assess the impact of new regulations on BNY Mellon fund accounting practices.
• Contribute to the achievement of related team objectives; may be tasked with Team Lead responsibilities and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7–10 years of total work experience preferred.
• Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS, with the ability to evaluate regulatory impacts on fund accounting practices.
• People leadership: No direct reports; provides guidance to less experienced team members and may have Team Lead responsibilities in some geographies.
