Location: Farmingdale, New Jersey - Must be able to comfortable commute to this location

Reports To: CFO / COO

Compensation: Starting at $250,000 annually plus bonus and benefits package

Position Overview

We are seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as a strategic business partner to the executive leadership team. The ideal candidate is an accomplished finance leader with proven experience in a manufacturing or contract production environment, adept at translating financial insight into operational excellence. This individual will lead all aspects of financial strategy, planning, analysis, and reporting, while driving continuous improvement across production planning, costing, and inventory management.

This is a hands‑on yet highly strategic role that requires an executive vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO/COO and executive leadership to shape and execute long‑term financial and operational strategies supporting profitable growth.
• Provide clear financial guidance to drive decision‑making across Sales, Production, Planning, Procurement, and Logistics.
• Serve as a key voice in evaluating expansion initiatives, capital investments, and operational efficiencies.
• Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Present monthly and quarterly financial performance reports to the executive team and board leadership.

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance

• Drive cost accounting excellence—analyzing product margins, labor, overhead, and material variances to optimize profitability.
• Partner closely with production and planning teams to align financial goals with operational capacity and efficiency.
• Establish robust controls for inventory valuation, waste reduction, and production cost tracking.

Forecasting, Planning & Treasury

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes with an eye toward scalability and cash optimization.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to support both near‑term operations and long‑term growth initiatives.

Team Development

• Mentor and lead a high‑performing finance team, fostering accountability, cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Enhance systems, processes, and analytical tools to strengthen decision‑making and operational transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or supply chain–intensive environment.
• Deep understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and production planning workflows.
• Proven success implementing ERP‑based financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent).
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
• Ability to balance high‑level strategy with a hands‑on operational approach.
