Job summary

Kroll is seeking a Vice President for its Expert Services team in the United States. You will support engagement teams by creating analyses, financial models, determining valuation methodologies, and managing projects for clients and legal counsel.

Responsibilities include leading staff, guiding attorneys on economic issues, building valuation models, developing damages analyses, and delivering client-ready reports with strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Preferred professional licenses: CFA, CPA, ASA, ABV, CVA.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in valuation disputes/damages analysis.
  • Knowledge of economic/financial theory and financial statement analysis.
  • Experience supporting expert opinions and delivering client-ready analyses.

Kroll’s Expert Services practice provides valuation, economic consulting, forensic accounting, and other financial and investigative services to attorneys and companies involved in litigation, among other forms of disputes and investigations. Our professionals are trained to provide expert witness testimony in our firm’s areas of expertise. Kroll is looking for a Vice President to support our Expert Services team. As a Vice President you will assist engagement teams in creating analyses, financial models, determining appropriate valuation methodology, and overall project management as dictated by the needs of the client or legal counsel.

Day To Day Responsibilities
  • Manage staff to ensure engagement execution within established timeframes
  • Assist engagement teams in providing guidance to attorneys on key economic, financial, and business issues
  • Assist engagement teams in the development and evaluation of valuation analysis, including determining appropriate valuation methodology and building and reviewing financial models
  • Assist engagement teams in the development and evaluation of damages claims and other financial calculations
  • Organize and analyze large data sets to provide meaningful conclusions
  • Prepare written reports and presentations for clients
  • Review internal and external communications, including client proposals and expert reports
  • Perform assigned tasks with minimal oversight
  • Independently gather data pertinent to the engagement through direct client interaction, client site visits, and independent research
  • Contribute directly to the development of work product, expert reports, proposals, presentations, and publications communicated to current and prospective clients
Essential Traits
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Professional licenses or certifications, such as a CFA, CPA, ASA, ABV, or CVA is preferred
  • You have a minimum 5 years of experience in relevant professional experience, including practical experience in valuation disputes/damages analysis.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge of economic and financial theory and financial statement analysis
  • You have demonstrated experience supporting expert opinions and providing financial analytical services to attorneys
  • You have demonstrated experience providing client-ready written deliverables
  • You have proven project management and presentation skills
  • You have proven experience managing and mentoring a team
  • You have strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You have strong Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint skills
