Job summary

Fleet Data Centers seeks a seasoned VP of Facilities Engineering to own quality governance across the full facility lifecycle, from design through turnover and steady-state operations. You will lead commissioning, QA/QC, and turnover governance, drive audits, and oversee training and standards management.

The role requires travel to Fleet sites and leadership of cross-functional teams to ensure safety, reliability, and uptime in hyperscale environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mission-critical facilities engineering, commissioning, QA/QC, or data center operations.
• Experience owning commissioning standards in hyperscale or large-scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of critical MEP infrastructure.
• Experience building audit programs.
• Ability to translate engineering intent into field standards.
• Strong documentation discipline.
• Cross-functional leadership experience.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and run programs ensuring sites are commissioned and handed over to Operations per Fleet standard.
• Verify sites are ready for operations and customer load before acceptance.
• Lead major infrastructure replacement and capital projects outside construction scope.
• Own QA/QC program and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage post-construction acceptance and turnover artifacts.
• Establish internal audit programs and KPI dashboards for continuous improvement.
• Maintain standards lifecycle and document controls.
• Lead training and qualification programs for field teams.
• Drive cross-functional execution and performance metrics.
