Job summary

DL Resource Group is seeking a Vice President of Data & Analytics to lead a data engineering and analytics organization in a primarily in-office role (Mon-Thursday). You will shape the data roadmap, partner with executives, and mentor a senior team to deliver enterprise-scale BI and data platforms.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in data, strong cloud platform experience (Azure, Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake), and a proven track record delivering Power BI-based solutions, governance, and data

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data engineering/analytics with 4+ years leading cross-functional teams.
• Deep expertise in modern cloud data platforms, preferably Azure (ADF, Synapse, Fabric, ADLS).
• Experience delivering enterprise BI solutions, particularly Power BI.
• Strong SQL and Python for data pipelines and transformation.
• Experience establishing data governance, data quality, and enterprise data strategy.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data engineers and analysts; define career ladders and foster a culture of curiosity and accountability.
• Develop, execute and refresh data & analytics roadmap aligned with our clients growth strategy, acquisitions pipeline, and technology modernization priorities.
• Partner with senior leaders across the organization to prioritize data investments and translate business outcomes into engineering requirements.
• Manage strategic vendor and platform relationships (cloud, BI, and data tooling providers); negotiate contracts and evaluate emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Required:

• 12+ years in data engineering, analytics, or data architecture, including 4+ years leading cross-functional teams.
• Deep expertise in modern cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (ADF, Synapse, Fabric, ADLS).
• Experience architecting and operating lakehouse/cloud platforms such as Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Proven success delivering enterprise BI solutions, particularly Power BI.
• Strong SQL and Python/scripting skills for data pipelines and transformation.
• Experience establishing data governance, data quality, and enterprise data strategy.
• Strong change-management and data-literacy leadership skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with dbt, Microsoft Purview, data catalogs, and data-quality frameworks.
• Multi-cloud data platform experience and knowledge of Fabric, Databricks, and Snowflake tradeoffs.
• MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
• Relevant Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake certifications.
