Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel to advise on data, analytics and AI products for payments and other businesses, negotiating complex agreements and delivering strategic legal guidance in a dynamic, global environment.

You will collaborate with business leaders and technologists, support market expansions, and counsel on regulatory developments impacting data, analytics and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with minimum 6 years of legal experience.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiating and commercial skills.
• Experience practicing with a law firm, financial institution or technology company.
• Ability to prioritize work and interact effectively with senior management.
• Ability to understand business needs and develop collaborative relationships with internal partners.
• Effective and efficient problem solver; strong organizational and project management skills.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workflow in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
• Compliance with relevant licensing requirements for the jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Advising on drafting and negotiating client- and customer-facing contracts.
• Assisting with providing day-to-day legal advice and counsel to internal Payment's clients and partners and other businesses in connection with the development, implementation and maintenance of data, analytics, AI or other related technology products and services.
• Collaborating with business teams, as well as colleagues in Legal, Risk, Compliance and other control functions to address and resolve complex issues.
• Advising internal clients on relevant legal, regulatory and market developments in the data, analytics and AI industries.
