Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Vice President, Construction Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will lead critical path scheduling for large rail transit programs using Primavera, develop integrated programs, and advise on schedule risk and recovery.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of scheduling experience, a degree in engineering or related field, and proven leadership on tunneling and metro projects with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of construction scheduling experience on large programs.
• Experience with tunneling and metro/transit infrastructure projects.
• Expertise with CPM analysis using Primavera.
• Strong project forecasting and change order analysis skills.
• Proven cross-functional teamwork and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide CPM scheduling and oversee critical path method scheduling for design and construction rail transit programs.
• Develop integrated program schedules from multiple stakeholders including designers and contractors.
• Assess schedule changes or delays and advise project teams and executives.
• Coordinate with teams to assess reporting, identify risk, and forecast accurately.
• Develop, update, and analyze detailed execution schedules for multiple projects.
• Establish baselines including durations, logic, resources, and costs.
• Review CPM updates and prepare schedule comparison reports.
• Perform Earned Value analysis, schedule Change Orders, and change impact reviews.
• Conduct time impact analyses to measure delay effects.
• Recommend recovery schedules and perform what-if scenario analyses.

This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Vice President, Construction Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in the San Francisco bay area.

Your Impact

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide expert Providing and/or overseeing critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) to support client’s Program including design and construction rail transit projects.
• Developing integrated program schedules based on input from the various entities including designer, contractor, third party etc.
• Assess and provide recommendations to resolve schedule, scope changes or delays to the project team and executive management.
• Coordination with project teams to assess reporting and identify risk and create accurate forecasts.
• Responsible for developing, updating, and analyzing detailed execution schedules for simultaneous projects
• Establish baseline schedule: summary and detailed review of baseline durations, logic, resources, costs, cost curves, resource histograms.
• Review periodic CPM Updates, provide Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
• Perform Earned Value analysis reports, schedule change management and review of change orders.
• Perform time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays.
• Provide recommendations for schedule recovery. Recovery schedule reviews and perform what-if scenario analysis.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline or equivalent years of construction scheduling experience.
• 12 years of experience in developing and managing construction schedules for large programs.
• Experience with large-scale tunneling and metro/transit infrastructure projects, including underground construction, station development, and rail systems
• Experienced with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera.
• Project financial forecasting skills.
• Change Order Analysis, Time Impact Analysis, and Forensic Schedule Analysis.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working within large and challenging Client Programs with one or more project teams.
• Effective reporting and communication skills.
• Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
• Building Construction and or project management experience
• Team player and Strong communication skills

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $230,750-$290,080/year
