Job summary

Meta is seeking a senior communications leader to protect and evolve Instagram's reputation, brand narrative and product messaging for global audiences. You will lead a team of Communications Leads supporting Instagram, Threads, and Edits, ensuring leadership is well positioned, briefed, and connected — and you will own the narrative itself, setting the agenda rather than responding to it.

• Must have 15+ years of communications leadership experience.
• Experience working with founders/CEOs/C-suite.
• Deep consumer tech and product communications experience.
• Experience in consumer social, creator platforms, or culture-forward brands.
• Proven ability to contribute to marketing, brand, or partnerships work.
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong judgment for navigating high-stakes communications challenges.
• Existing network at the principal level.
• Creative background in agency, brand, entertainment, or editorial.
• Experience launching or scaling a product in a competitive category.
• Global experience including high-growth markets.

Instagram sits at the center of culture. We're looking for a senior communications leader who can protect and evolve Instagram's reputation, brand narrative and product messaging with global audiences: creators, culture-makers, media, policymakers, and the next generation of users. This leader will manage a team of Communications Leads supporting a portfolio of apps including Instagram, Threads, and Edits.

The ideal candidate elevates how Instagram's leadership shows up in the world. You will keep the IG leadership team sharply positioned, thoroughly briefed, and meaningfully connected — and you will take ownership of the narrative itself, setting the agenda rather than responding to it.

• 15+ years of communications leadership experience and experience working with founders/CEOs/C-suite
• Deep consumer technology and product communications experience, ideally in consumer social, creator platforms, or culture-forward brands
• Demonstrated range beyond comms: has contributed substantively to marketing, brand, or partnerships work
• Track record of building, leading, and upleveling high-performing teams
• Strong judgment and ability to navigate complex, high-stakes communications challenges — teen safety, content moderation, regulatory scrutiny, etc
• An existing network that is immediately additive at the principal level
• Creative background — agency, brand, entertainment, or editorial
• Experience launching or scaling a product in a competitive category
• Global experience, including high-growth markets
