Job summary

Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. seeks a VP, Commercial to lead commercial development, structure and negotiate agreements, and manage key customer relationships across the energy infrastructure platform. This role drives growth, oversees the full deal lifecycle, and partners cross-functionally to maximize asset value.

This senior position targets professionals with deep midstream, infrastructure, or power generation experience who can take ownership in a high-impact, externally facing role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field.
  • 8–15+ years of experience in commercial, business development, or marketing roles within power generation, midstream oil & gas, or infrastructure services.
  • Demonstrated experience originating and executing commercial agreements with upstream customers.
  • Strong understanding of contract structuring, pricing mechanisms, and commercial risk management.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, finance, and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations, finance, and leadership to ensure alignment between commercial terms and operational capabilities.
  • Develop and support commercial strategy to drive asset utilization and long-term growth.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to inform business decisions.
  • Support internal stakeholders with commercial analysis, pricing strategy, and contract interpretation.

About the Opportunity

The VP, Commercial will be responsible for leading commercial development efforts, structuring and negotiating agreements, and managing key customer relationships across the company’s energy infrastructure platform. This role will own the full deal lifecycle—from origination through customer account management and execution and partner cross-functionally to drive growth and maximize asset value.

This position is suited for a commercially driven professional with deep experience in midstream, infrastructure, or power generation who is looking to step into a high-impact, externally facing role with significant ownership.

Essential Functions

Experience / Education
