Executive search for a Chief Information Officer at a respected New England financial services organization.
This is a high-visibility, C-suite reporting role with ownership of enterprise technology strategy, AI adoption, cybersecurity, and a multi-disciplinary IT organization spanning infrastructure, security, software engineering, data, and project management. The role carries budget and vendor management authority, a seat on the executive leadership team, and regular board interaction.
The organization includes 7 direct reports spanning security, engineering, data, PMO, QA, service desk, and an administrative function, with 40 indirect reports including offshore and project-based contractors, within a total company population of 180 to 200.
Key expectations include building a technology roadmap tied to long-range business priorities, standing up an organization-wide AI strategy with proper governance, advancing the company’s data and analytics capabilities, and setting IT governance standards and KPIs across the department. The role also calls for building a high-performing, accountable IT leadership team and serving as a trusted advisor across the business, with clients, and with outside partners.
The right leader brings prior CIO or comparable executive technology experience, a track recordof building and scaling teams in a matrix environment, and comfort operating in a regulated industry.
Hybrid role based in the Boston area, on-site two days per week.
