Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Vice President & Chief Counsel, Retail Advisory to serve as the senior legal advisor to executive leadership. You will shape legal strategies across managed accounts, financial planning and portfolio management, while guiding growth and risk management.

You will lead a team of attorneys, strengthen governance and compliance, and influence major initiatives and acquisitions with a focus on responsible growth for the Retail Advisory line.

Qualifications

• 10+ years legal experience in investment advisory, wealth management or financial services.
• 15+ years of relevant legal experience preferred.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in MN, MA or NC, or eligibility for in-house counsel.

We have a pay-forperformance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
