Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a leading global alternative asset management firm, seeks a VP, Business Systems Analyst to own the Workday Financials environment and related financial systems portfolio. You will translate accounting requirements into scalable Workday solutions and manage integrations, reporting, and modernization efforts.

You will partner with Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Operations, and Technology to drive strategic initiatives and deliver executive-level

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise financial systems and business applications.
• 4+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial processes.
• CPA Certification required or preferred.
• Experience with Workday reporting, configurations, and integrations.
• Strong understanding of APIs, SFTP, file transfers, and automated data flows.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Private equity, private credit, hedge fund, or alternative asset management experience preferred.
• Experience with Workday Accounting Center and/or Workday Prism Analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall health, stability, and strategic direction of Workday Financials and related Management Company applications.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Accounting/business teams and Technology.
• Translate accounting and business requirements into Workday solutions and technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain the financial systems roadmap.
• Lead intake, prioritization, and delivery of system enhancements.
• Design, build, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and RaaS solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex application, data, and integration issues.
• Analyze integration failures and coordinate resolution with developers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Provide executive-level reporting, status updates, and risk assessments.
• Lead cross-functional teams through production issues and strategic enhancements.

Position Summary: This role will serve as the key liaison between Accounting and Technology, translating complex financial and accounting requirements into scalable Workday solutions. The VP will own the Workday Financials environment, support enterprise integrations, manage system enhancements and production issues, and partner with business and technology leaders on the financial systems roadmap.
