Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Essential Functions

The Vice President of Business Development...

  • Is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team: establishing collaborative relationships, demonstrating maturity, ownership, accountability, and a focus on client outcomes.
  • Works with other executives to set strategic direction and achieve company goals.
  • Maintains and reports on sales KPIs such as bookings, win/loss analysis, pipeline, and opportunity status.
  • Contributes to growth strategies focused on revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Runs an organized sales operation: qualifying leads, overseeing proposals and RFPs, collaborating on scoping, and preparing presentation materials.
  • Supports and attends networking events, conferences, and business-generating activities.
  • Maintains communication with prospects, assists with contracts, and ensures smooth project hand-offs.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to support brand awareness and go-to-market plans.
  • Leads partnerships, especially with Salesforce, maintaining relationships and understanding partnership contracts.
  • Manages the business development team: supervising, mentoring, hiring, and establishing sales targets and compensation plans.
Essential Skills, Education, and Work Experience
  • At least 7 years in nonprofit and/or association technology markets, with significant sales experience, preferably with Salesforce.org or related partners.
  • Experience leading successful sales teams delivering professional services.
  • Well-connected within target markets and key partners.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building new business.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
Physical Demands & Environmental Conditions

This is a remote-first role requiring most workday hours in front of a computer or engaging with clients and colleagues. Preference for candidates in eastern or central time zones. Occasional travel to meetings and events is required. Candidates must report to work daily unless otherwise arranged.

Fíonta offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401k, vacation, and holidays. The salary range is $125,000-$170,000 plus incentives.
