Madrid CFTL in Florida seeks an accomplished Vice President to lead Bartow operations and shape the firm's future through strategic vision, business development, and operational excellence. You will drive growth across engineering, field, drilling, and laboratory services, strengthen client relationships, and uphold Madrid’s reputation as a trusted partner in the state.

Qualified candidates bring 10+ years of leadership in geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing, Florida

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) in Florida, or eligible within six months.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing.
• Proven business development with established Florida networks.
• Executive leadership with P&L responsibility.
• In‑depth knowledge of Florida Building Codes, FDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and related regs.
• Exceptional strategic, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to inspire teams and drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for Bartow operations aligned with strategy.
• Serve as primary client-facing leader, cultivating long-term relationships with owners, contractors, developers, and industry partners.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow revenue and expand service offerings.
• Oversee financial performance, including P&L, budgets, and forecasting.
• Ensure quality and safety standards across all disciplines.
• Mentor and develop senior managers and staff, fostering excellence and accountability.
• Represent Madrid in professional and community organizations to enhance presence.
• Partner with the executive team to drive continuous improvement and growth.
