Job summary

Madrid CFTL is seeking a Vice President to lead its Bartow operations in Florida. This executive role blends strategic vision, business development, and operational leadership across geotechnical, materials testing, drilling, and laboratory services.

You will drive growth, profitability, and client satisfaction while mentoring senior staff and promoting a culture of excellence. A Florida-licensed PE or PG and extensive leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE or PG in Florida, or eligible through reciprocity within six months.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, or related fields.
• Proven success in business development with established Florida relationships.
• Strong executive leadership with P&L responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of Florida Building Codes, FDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and regulatory frameworks.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to inspire teams and drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for Bartow operations, ensuring alignment with Madrid’s strategy and values.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with owners, contractors, developers, and industry partners.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow revenue and expand services.
• Oversee financial performance, including P&L, budgets, and forecasting.
• Ensure quality and safety standards across all disciplines.
• Mentor and develop senior managers and staff to foster excellence and accountability.
• Represent Madrid in professional organizations and enhance industry presence.
• Partner with the executive team to drive continuous improvement and organizational growth.
