Job summary

Madrid CFTL is seeking a Vice President to lead its Bartow operations in Florida. This executive role blends strategic vision, business development, and operational leadership across geotechnical, materials testing, drilling, and laboratory services.

You will drive growth, profitability, and client satisfaction while mentoring senior staff and promoting a culture of excellence. A Florida-licensed PE or PG and extensive leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE or PG in Florida, or eligible through reciprocity within six months.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, or related fields.
• Proven success in business development with established Florida relationships.
• Strong executive leadership with P&L responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of Florida Building Codes, FDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and regulatory frameworks.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to inspire teams and drive growth.

You’ll be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and excellence across engineering, field, drilling, and laboratory services, while strengthening client relationships and advancing Madrid’s reputation as a trusted partner in Florida.

• Provide executive leadership for Bartow operations, ensuring alignment with Madrid’s overall strategy and values.
• Serve as a primary client-facing leader, cultivating long-term relationships with owners, contractors, developers, and industry partners.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow revenue and expand service offerings.
• Oversee financial performance, including P&L responsibility, budgets, and forecasting.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are consistently met across all disciplines.
• Mentor and develop senior managers and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.

QualificationsQualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) in Florida, or eligible through reciprocity within six months.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success in business development, with established relationships across Florida’s construction and engineering sectors.
• Strong record of executive leadership with P&L responsibility.
• In-depth knowledge of Florida Building Codes, FDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional strategic, communication, and negotiation skills.
