Qualifications

• MD/MD-PhD or equivalent degree and board certification in Urology.
• Track record of productivity and funding in basic/translational/clinical research.
• Evidence of ongoing or emerging extramural funding.
• Peer-reviewed publications demonstrating scientific rigor and impact.
• Eligibility for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level.
• Preferred leadership in research programs, cores, centers, or clinical trial networks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the research mission, infrastructure, and vision for the Department of Urology.
• Lead and expand independent and collaborative/team science funded research within the Department of Urology.
• Stimulate and oversee investigator-initiated and multicenter clinical studies.
• Encourage mechanistic or discovery-based insights with potential clinical application.
• Mentor trainees and faculty in research design, funding, and career development.
• Support pathways for tech transfer and clinical development as appropriate.

Education

MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree
