Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks a Dynamic Environments engineer to define and verify high frequency shock, vibration and acoustic environments for launch vehicle components and payloads.

You will develop FEM models, correlate with test data, and support flight data analysis. Strong Matlab/Linux skills and ITAR awareness are required, plus leadership capabilities and project management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with four+ years of related experience in vibro-acoustic analysis.
• Experience deriving acoustics, shock or random environments from data.
• FEM experience required and familiarity with NASTRAN or similar software.
• Proficiency with Matlab and Linux OS environments.
• Strong interpersonal, time and project management skills, mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Perform acoustic, shock and vibration analyses using multiple methods.
• Develop, document and maintain analysis processes and tools.
• Correlate FEM models with flight or test data to validate designs.
• Lead or support dynamics testing and report results to customers.
• Guide resolution of technical and programmatic issues affecting cost and schedule.
