Job summary

K+S Services, a SunSource company, is seeking a Vibration Technician in Taylor, MI to join our team. You will test and analyze spindles, ensuring vibration levels are within tolerance and prepare run-off for finished products.

On-the-job training will be provided. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience. We offer medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K match, and upward mobility opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; electro-mechanical associate’s degree or equivalent work experience is a plus
• Certified in vibration analysis. Two years of experience as a Vibration Technician preferred
• Proficiency with Emerson (CSI) 2120/2130/2140 is preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, precision measuring devices and knowledge of bearing assemblies
• Knowledge of servo spindle drives is considered a plus
• Strong mechanical understanding of industrial equipment
• Troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Effective communication skills (oral / written)
• No lifting restrictions

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our senior vibration technician to test and analyze spindles, ensuring vibration levels are within tolerance and set up run-off for finished product
• Analyze vibration data to determine fault frequencies of bearing systems
• Perform field balancing as required
• Occasionally travel to customer sites to perform on-site vibration analysis
