Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an a Simulation & Analysis Engineer II specialized in structural analysis to evaluate static and dynamic load cases on power tool components and assemblies. You will deliver fast, reliable recommendations to increase robustness while optimizing weight, size and cost.

The role requires strong mechanical design skills and extensive FEA experience, with hands-on proficiency in ANSYS and LS-DYNA, plus CAD expertise in NX or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical design and FEA experience.
• Proficient with linear and nonlinear FEA, dynamic analysis, and fatigue analysis.
• Extensive experience with ANSYS & LS-DYNA; CAD proficiency in NX/SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Perform linear and nonlinear FEA on components and assemblies.
• Conduct dynamic, modal, drop and deflection analyses.
• Correlate FEA models to physical durability testing and failure analysis.
• Recommend geometry or material changes for robustness, weight, size, and cost.
• Mentor and share knowledge to raise overall FEA capability.
