Job summary

Great Lakes Management Co. is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to join Hayden Grove of St. Anthony, a senior living community. This interim role focuses on connecting with residents, creating engaging experiences, and bringing energy and positivity to daily activities.

You will support the Activity Coordinator with planning, promoting, and leading events, assess residents' social needs, and help coordinate transportation for off-site activities while working with volunteers and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year activities experience in senior care settings.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Class C license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to use basic Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Creativity in developing and planning activity programs.
• Strong group leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong reading, writing, spelling, basic math, and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Coordinator with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading events.
• Assess residents' recreational and social needs.
• Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
• Lead small, large and one-on-one activities with seniors.
• Research and recommend speakers or church representatives for activities.
• Coordinate transportation needs for outside events, accompany residents on field trips.
• Work with volunteers and direct their assignments to support programming.
• Maintain the STSW bus interior and exterior.
• Report maintenance needs in a timely manner.
