Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast, Greater Palm Harbor Branch, seeks a Group Exercise Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and fun classes under the direction of the Fitness Director. You will enhance program quality, growth, and participant retention.

The role requires teaching at least one format, completing required trainings including CPR/AED/First Aid within 90 days, and upholding YMCA standards. Candidates must be 16+ and dedicated to health and wellness.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to teach at least one format of group exercise that meets safety guidelines.
• Within 90 days, CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare room prior to class and ensure on-time start.
• Choreography and music selection per YMCA guidelines.
• Create a safe, engaging environment and maintain equipment; report issues.
• Maintain audio equipment and ensure cleanliness of facilities and gear.
• Cover own classes when needed; attend trainings and meetings.
