Job summary

The Greens at Gastonia seeks an Activities Assistant to design and lead engaging activities for residents, creating a welcoming environment and meaningful social opportunities on a full-time, day-shift schedule.

The role emphasizes creativity, energy, and compassionate interaction, with flexible evening and weekend availability as needed. CPR/First Aid is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in senior living, recreation, or related fields is a plus but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead fun, meaningful activities and events.
• Lead games, crafts, music, exercise, social events, and resident celebrations.
• Spend one-on-one time with residents and encourage participation.
• Adapt activities to meet different physical and cognitive abilities.
• Document resident participation as required.
• Assist residents to and from activities and help with setup for holidays and events.
• Collaborate with other departments to create positive resident experiences.
