Job summary

Indiana Wesleyan University seeks a Program Director of VIA Journeys to launch, pilot, and operationalize VIA Journeys as a flagship initiative within the AMSI unit. The role requires entrepreneurial leadership, technical fluency, and disciplined execution to move concepts into functioning pilots and participant experiences.

The Director reports to the Executive Director of AMSI and focuses on delivery, experimentation, and learning within strategic guardrails.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher strongly preferred.
• Ten or more years of demonstrated experience launching, scaling, and leading programs, products, platforms, or strategic initiatives from concept through execution.
• Experience managing and influencing diverse stakeholders, including approximately 30 external partners.
• Experience working within ministry organizations, churches, or higher education environments is required; cross-sector experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise any part-time or full-time personnel assigned to VIA Journeys.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end launch of VIA Journeys, including pilots, operational workflows, and participant experiences.
• Translate strategic direction into executable plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure VIA Journeys progresses from idea to active implementation with momentum and clarity.
• Operate with an entrepreneurial mindset—testing assumptions, learning rapidly, iterating responsibly.
• Coordinate pilot partners, churches, advisors, and ministry leaders; gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Define and track operational and pilot metrics; provide updates to leadership.
