Job summary

Copperas Cove Independent School District is seeking a VI Aide to support a student with a documented IEP. You will assist with instructional activities, behavioral and functional needs, and personal care, under certified staff supervision.

You will help the student access activities, document progress, and collaborate with teachers while maintaining confidentiality and fostering independence throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification must have one of the following.
• Complete district-required training applicable to the needs of the assigned student and position.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to the assigned student in accordance with the student’s IEP.
• Assist with instructional activities and reinforce concepts identified by staff.
• Support participation and access across settings as determined by IEP and schedule.
• Implement accommodations, behavioral supports, and safety procedures as directed.
• Assist with personal care needs when required by the student’s needs.
• Collect and document data related to student performance and goals.
• Communicate updates to supervising staff and campus personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and promote student independence.
