Job summary

Activision is seeking VFX interns for a 12‑week summer program in 2027. You will work on real‑time visual effects for Call of Duty, collaborating with top artists and engineers to design cinematic and optimized VFX for next‑gen platforms.

In‑person internships are offered at High Moon Studios (Carlsbad, CA) and Treyarch (Playa Vista, CA). A portfolio showing real‑time VFX is required at application.

Qualifications

• Must submit a portfolio/reel showcasing real‑time VFX.
• Experience with Maya, 3ds Max, or in‑game FX editors is required.
• Knowledge of particle systems, shaders, dynamics, and 3D fundamentals.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to real‑time VFX that heighten gameplay.
• Collaborate with artists and engineers on dynamic effects.
• Balance artistry with performance across platforms.
• Develop and script multi‑state FX objects.
