Job summary

Ohio State University’s Veterinary Medical Center in Dublin is seeking a Veterinary Care Technician 2 for the third shift. Responsibilities include delivering high-level patient care in a busy, 24/7 facility, assisting faculty with assessment and procedures, monitoring inpatient patients, and maintaining accurate records in the EMR system.

The role requires graduates of an AVMA-accredited program and an OVMLB RVT license (or eligibility to obtain one before start).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program.
• Current active OVMLB RVT license or eligibility to obtain before start date.
• Ability to manage a high patient load and work third shift.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level patient care in a 24/7 veterinary setting.
• Assist faculty with assessment, treatment and procedures.
• Monitor vitals and患者 patients; may involve anesthesia or radiology as needed.
• Document care accurately and maintain EMR records.
• Mentor and train new staff; participate in ongoing CE.
