Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician through the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board.
• Must pass the Veterinary Technician National Exam.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience; 2–4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in technical procedures and activities involving large animal care.
• Provide direct large animal care and assistance to clinicians and professional students.
• Perform surgical assistance and instruct students in the preparation of animals and equipment for procedures.
• Communicate critical changes in patient status to clinicians.
• Maintain progress reports when students are not available.
