Job summary

Pieper Veterinary Berlin Street is seeking a Veterinary Urgent Care Technician to join our urgent care team in New Haven, CT. This role supports patient assessment, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, and client communication in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

We value technicians who are skilled in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and provide high-quality nursing care while collaborating with experienced veterinarians. Weekend shifts and ongoing learning opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience.
• Experience with venipuncture and phlebotomy.
• Experience placing and maintaining IV catheters.
• Knowledge of anesthesia and patient monitoring.
• Strong technical nursing skills.
• Strong client service and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Availability to work rotating weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Pay: $21.50-$32.00/hour (based on experience and education)

Shift Differential: Additional $4.00/hour after 2:00 PM

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology
• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential
• CPR experience or certification
• Experience with EzyVet
• Urgent care, emergency, or specialty veterinary medicine experience
• Strong interest in continued learning and professional development
