Pieper Veterinary is seeking a Veterinary Technician — Emergency to join our busy hospital in Middletown, CT. Qualifications

• Associate's degree in veterinary technology or CVT license preferred.
• Emergency/ICU experience required or highly desired.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule & Pay

• Per Diem – Hours and shifts vary based on hospital needs. This position does not have a set weekly schedule or guaranteed number of hours.
• $21.00-$30.00/hour, based on experience.

What You'll Do

• Deliver hands‑on ICU care: treatments, vitals monitoring, advanced diagnostics
• Work closely with board-certified Criticalists and ER vets
• Monitor patients closely using advanced equipment
• Communicate compassionately with pet parents
• Help train teammates and improve processes

What You Bring

• Experience in a fast‑paced emergency or ICU setting
• Skilled in restraint, triage, patient monitoring, ventilator support, anesthesia, venipuncture, IV placement
• Associate’s in Veterinary Technology and/or CVT license a plus
• Strong communicator, works well independently and on a team
